Do I need a finished manuscript to work with you?
Not at all. Authors come to us at every stage — a finished draft, a half-written manuscript, a folder of notes or a single idea. Our ghostwriting and editorial teams meet you exactly where you are and map the route to a finished book.
How do I get a quote for my book?
Send us a message through the contact page with a little about your project — genre, approximate word count and which services interest you. A publishing consultant replies within 24 hours with honest recommendations and a tailored quote. The consultation is free and carries no obligation.
What genres do you work with?
All of them. Fiction of every kind, memoir and biography, business and leadership, self-help, health, faith-based writing, poetry, cookbooks and children's books. Every project is staffed by specialists with a track record in that specific genre.
Do you work with first-time authors?
Constantly — most of our clients are publishing their first book. The process is designed to be clear and jargon-free, and your consultant explains every decision before it is made.
Who owns the rights to my book?
You do — fully and forever. Kingswell is a publishing services company, not a rights-taking publisher. Copyright is registered in your name, retailer accounts are created in your name and every contract confirms your complete ownership.
Do you take a percentage of my royalties?
No. You pay for professional services once; 100% of royalties from every sale, in every format and territory, are paid by retailers directly to you.
Is my manuscript kept confidential?
Yes. Confidentiality is standard on every project and we are happy to sign an NDA before you share anything. Your manuscript is only ever seen by the specialists working on it.
If we ghostwrite my book, can the writer claim credit later?
No. Our ghostwriting agreements permanently transfer all rights and credit to you. The writer is contractually bound to confidentiality and can never claim authorship or royalties.
How long does it take to publish a book?
It depends on where you start. With a finished, edited manuscript, design, formatting and worldwide publication typically take four to eight weeks. Full journeys that include ghostwriting or deep editing usually run four to eight months. You receive a written timeline before anything begins.
Will I have one point of contact?
Yes. A dedicated publishing consultant coordinates every specialist on your project, keeps you updated at each milestone and is always the one person you can call with any question.
How involved will I be in the process?
As involved as you want to be. Every major decision — outline, cover direction, pricing, launch date — is yours to approve. We advise and execute; you decide.
What if I am not happy with something?
Tell us — early and honestly. Structured revision rounds are built into every service, and your consultant's job is to make sure concerns are addressed while the work is in progress, not after it is finished.
Where will my book be sold?
Everywhere readers shop: Amazon worldwide in print and Kindle, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play and Barnes & Noble, plus the IngramSpark catalogue that lets over 40,000 bookshops and libraries — including UK high-street shops — order your book.
Will my book be in physical bookstores?
Your book becomes orderable by any bookshop through Ingram's trade catalogue, with the discounts and returns settings shops expect. Physical shelf placement is always each shop's decision, but the infrastructure for it is fully in place.
Can you market a book I published elsewhere?
Yes. Wherever your book was published, we can audit its cover, description and categories, then run advertising, PR and review campaigns for it. If something about the book's presentation would hold the campaign back, we will tell you before taking your money.
Do you guarantee sales or bestseller status?
No — and you should be wary of anyone who does. We guarantee professional execution, transparent reporting and data-driven decisions, which is what gives a good book its best chance in the market.
